- ──── Application Swapping ────
-
- See Mail now swaps itself out of memory to a temporary area whenever you
- call an external program that cannot be loaded directly above See Mail.
-
- The swapping option you choose is used to adjust the disk parameter in
- the batch file that runs See Mail.
-
- The default action is to use your regular hard disk for the swap area.
-
- For optimal performance you should use a RAM drive if you have enough
- extra system memory to define one. The RAM drive should be at least
- 450k in size.
-
- Alternatively on a network you may choose to use a network drive
- instead. This makes sense if the network drive has a higher performance
- than your local hard disk, or you are short of space on your hard disk.
-
- ─────────────────────────────-
- See Mail uses a licensed version of a swap product called SHROOM from
- Davis Augustine, you will find more details about this in the SHROOM.DOC
- file on this disk.
